Registration & Tuition

To ensure placement in a class that best fits your schedule, early registration is recommended (although registration is accepted throughout the year)

Age is used as a guideline, but if you are unsure of your child’s placement, please do not hesitate to call our main office at 737-6565 or email juliette@carolyndutradancestudio.com

HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE:

Please print, fill out and mail in THIS STUDENT INFORMATION FORM (click to download), along with a check for the monthly tuition and registration fee ($20.00 individual, $25.00 family). Be sure to specify which studio you would like to attend. Please call or email for tuition rates, as well as family rates!

Additional Registration Information

There is a non-refundable registration fee ($20 individual, $25 family). Registration must be completed before attending class and guarantees your spot in that class.

Tuition

Please call for individual rates and discounted family rates.
Tuition must be paid on a monthly basis, is due on the 1st of the month, and is considered late after the 15th of the month. A late fee will be assessed to any overdue accounts. A fee will be charged for any checks returned by the bank. Tuition must be kept up to date in order to participate in class.
We work on a monthly basis regardless of how many weeks or holidays are in a month.
Makeup classes are available, within 30 days of the missed class. You may make up in a comparable class, or try something new! Check with the secretary for other classes offered that you may try!

Discounts

If tuition is paid in full for the year at registration in August, a 5% discount is applied. Family rates for siblings are available. Call for specifics.

Attendance

It is important that the student attends every lesson. Please notify the studio if a class will be missed. Irregular attendance without good reason will jeopardize a student’s participation in the recital. Students should arrive 10 minutes before class begins, and be picked up PROMPTLY at the end of class.

Cancellation of Class

In case of inclement weather, call the Warwick office (401-737-6565) after 12:00pm.

Recital

Our annual recital is held at the end of June at Rhode Island College. It is not mandatory to participate, however, most students do!

Awards

Medallions are awarded to students who have completed 5 years or more at the CDDS. They are presented at our annual awards banquet in the spring. Be sure to check that your name is on the list posted on the bulletin board in the winter!

Information

We often pass out fliers to keep you informed as to what is happening at the studio. Please check your dancer’s bag, and the studio bulletin board to be sure you are up to date. Also, stay informed by checking out our blog.

Dancewear Requirements

Please note the following:
*All students must have their hair neatly pulled back and away from the face.
*No large jewelry allowed.
*No underwear needed under leotard and tights.

It is essential that the correct dance attire be worn in class at all times to insure that teachers may observe body movements.

Pre-School and Primary

Light Blue Long Sleeve Leotard, ballet pink footed or convertible tights, full sole ballet slipper, black patent leather tap shoes

Level I and II

Long sleeve black leotard, ballet pink and light suntan convertible tights, full sole ballet slippers, tan jazz gore boots, Mary Jane suntan tap shoes

Level III and Teen

Long Sleeve black leotard, ballet pink and light suntan convertible tights, split sole ballet shoes, tan jazz gore boots, black steel toe tap shoes

Hip Hop

Comfortable clothes that the dancer can move in and sneakers. Black dance sneakers are encouraged, but not mandatory.

Warmup Suit

WARMUP SUIT ORDER FORM DEADLINE 4/1/13: Warmup Order Form

The CDDS warmup suit is a ladies cut black jacket with white and red piping, logo embroidered, plain black pants. Each warmup suit will have the dancer’s first name embroidered on the sleeve! ALL Company Members must order a warmup suit!

Going to Disney? You will need a warmup suit too!
