Dress Code
Sick Policy:
  • Do not come to the Studio if sick/not feeling well, suspect that you have or are positive for any contagious illness/disease.
  • If a dancer comes in sick or says they are not feeling well, they will be sent home.
  • Email or call in your absence in advance. Include your dancer's full name, class and location.
  • COVID: We follow CDC guidelines . Please email us immediately if your dancer has Covid and do not come to the Studio until discussed.

Closed Class, Preparatory, Pee Wee Company:

How to arrive/pickup:
Warwick Studio-enter front door-exit back door
Smithfield-enter and exit front door
  • Studio will open 15 minutes before class starts.  Try to arrive no later than 10 minutes before class starts.
  • Dancers should arrive ready for class, but may change at studio if needed.
  • Hair always in a bun
  • Parents meet at the door for pickup. Dancers will be dismissed to you one at a time.  Pickup person must be 16+ (It's nighttime at pickup, we would like parents to exit cars and get young dancers.)
What to bring to Studio:
  • 2 yoga blocks w name/initials on them
  • Black high waist leggings/shorts (not short shorts!) required for jazz/tap/contemporary.  When dressed like a dancer, you feel like a dancer!
  • water bottle with lid and name on it
  • non crumbly snack to eat between classes if you need a boost.
What to bring into Dance Room
  • nothing!  Your teacher will tell you upon arrival :)
What not to bring into Dance Room:
  • NO APPLE WATCHES/watches/fitbits may be worn!  Nothing on the wrist.
  • No big jewelry-small stud earrings are fine. no dangles, hoops etc.
What to Wear:
  • Ballet-BUN, black leotard, tights, BLACK bra
  • Jazz/Tap/Contemporary-black leo, pink tights, high waisted black leggings/high waisted shorts
Healthy eating:
  • Eat a healthy snack and hydrate before class. Bring a healthy, non crumbly snack to eat between classes if you need a boost.  Teachers will notify you when it's an appropriate time.
Make-up Classes:
Company dancers must make-up absent classes within one month. Email the studio in advance to schedule. Students are responsible for making up classes.
  • Closed Class/Preparatory = Level 1 
  • Pee Wee = Level 2
Performance Makeup:
  • Company Red Lipstick (Any of the following. Radio City Rockettes wear these, too!)
  • MAC-Red
  • MAC-Russian Red
  • Sephora brand cream liquid lipstick-Always Red
Performance Rhinestone Earrings:
Closed Class, Preparatory, Pee Wee Company: 10mm double ring rhinestone earrings
The earring is 1 row of rhinestones around the stone but the name of the earring is "Double Ring"
  • Vendors may vary (ie. the earrings may appear on a different card than in photo)
  • The earring size is based on the inside stone.
  • Earrings come as pierced or clip on
  • It's always good to have a backup pair :)

If dancers have an email, be sure to add to your studio account.  We send lots of info directed to the dancers that they can start to be repsonsible for!

Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Companies

Arrival/Dismissal:
All dancers enter through the front door and exit the back.
  • Studio will open 30 minutes before class starts.  arrive no later than 10 minutes before class starts.
  • Dancers should arrive ready for class, but may change at studio if needed.
  • Enter dance room 5 minutes before start of class-Don't wait for staff to call you into the room. Do not linger in the waiting room, chat and hang out in dance room :)
What to bring to Studio:
  • 2 yoga blocks w name/initials on them
  • Black high waist leggings required for jazz/tap/contemporary. Do not have pink tights exposed. 
    • Jr/Sr may wear shorts in jazz/tap/contemporary if not wearing pink tights. If wearing shorts, make sure they are appropriate inseam-no booties hanging out! When dressed like a dancer, you feel like a dancer!
  • water bottle with lid and name on it
  • non crumbly snack to eat between classes if you need a boost.
What to bring into Dance Room

  • pointe shoes if applicable
  • Yoga blocks if teacher requires
What not to bring into Dance Room:
  • Large dance bag
  • NO APPLE WATCHES may be worn!  We do not want to tell you to take them off!
  • No other watches, bracelets, fitbits etc.
What to Wear:
  • Ballet-BUN
  • Jazz/Tap/Contemporary-ponytail
  • Ballet-black leotard, tights, BLACK bra
  • Rhy Jazz/Tap/Contemporary-black leo, pink tights, high waisted black leggings, ponytail
  • Jr/Sr Jazz/Tap Contemporary-high waisted black leggings/any color crop top, hair in ponytail. If wearing shorts, make sure they are appropriate inseam-no booties hanging out!
  • Never wear JUST a sports bra.
  • Jr/Sr have 5 minutes to change out of ballet clothes for contemp/jazz/tap.  
  • Rhythmettes wear leotard and tights for both classes, and should always wear HIGH WAISTED black leggings over tights.  Rhy may wear a ponytail for first class and put in a neat bun for ballet in the 5 minute break.
  • Dancers should not show Pink tights during Contemporary/Jazz/Tap.
