Dance Camps 2024

Dance, music and arts & crafts designed around a theme make for a fun and educational time at CDDS vacation dance camps! Something for all dancers ages 3-11.  A great way to continue dance skills over vacation with a bunch of fun activities including a performance for families on the last day! Camps are held in February, April and Summer.

Summer Dance Camp

Drop Off/Pick Up:
Doors will open 5 minutes before each camp. Parents drop off dancer and pick up at the end. Only students and staff remain in the building with the door locked for safety reasons, just like school.
10:30am-1:30pm Ages 6-10
  • Parking is limited at the studio, please be patient and look out for those walking. Exit the parking lot immediately after drop off/pick up to make room for other families. Expect parking to be busy for the last day presentation. Thank you for understanding. 
  • Warwick - Enter front door, exit back door. Please meet your dancer at the back door under the red awning for pick up. No parking or idling in the Dive Shop or Gas Station. There is an empty lot across from the Dive Shop on Community Drive that you can park in for a few minutes.
  • Cranston & Smithfield- Enter front door.
Presentations: Last day of camp!
Arrival time for performance is 1:10pm. Two parents may attend the presentation.  Remove street shoes in the waiting room. Siblings may come if needed. Photos and video may be taken! Parking is limited, please be patient. Warwick: Do not park at the Dive Shop or Gas Station. There is an empty lot across from the Dive Shop on Community Drive that you can park in.
Preparing for Camp:
  • Do not come if sick. Email the studio if absent. info@carolyndutradancestudio.com
  • Use the bathroom at home and upon entering Studio if needed before class starts
  • Pull hair back neatly and securely. Bun preferred, braids or neat ponytail allowed
  • No jewelry other than small stud earrings (no hoops, rings, necklaces, etc. )
  • Arrive wearing tights, leotard, (no underwear underneath, tights are an undergarment), ballet shoes on inside slides/crocs/slippers (see below for dress code)
  • Put dancer's name on all belongings - shoes, dance bag, water bottle, etc. See below for what to bring.
What to Bring:
Ages 6-10- wear ballet shoes, bring small dance bag with:
  • Tap & Jazz Shoes
  • all black jazz shorts/jazz pants optional
  • ONE healthy non crumbly/nut-free snack 
  • Water bottle
Girls:
  • Hair neatly pulled away from face
  • All Black Leotard
  • Capezio transition tights pink or tan
  • So Danca split sole ballet slippers leather pink (SD-60L)
  • Capezio jazz shoes caramel (EJ2-C)
  • Capezio Mary Jane tap shoes Caramel (3800)
  • (Optional for Jazz/Tap) Solid black high waisted dance/compression shorts or leggings (no writing/rhinestones/etc.)
  • No skirts/tutus
Boys: White athletic T-shirt, Black athletic pants or shorts in warm weather, Black ballet shoes, Black tap shoes, Hair pulled away from face

February Dance Camp

Something for all dancers ages 3-11.  A great way to make dance friends and continue their skills over vacation with a bunch of fun activities! Camp culminates with a presentation - two guests per dancer are invited!

April Dance Camp

LOCATION: Warwick Studio
THEME: Minions!
Enrollment is open! 
  • Primary Camp * Confirmed. 
  • Preschool Camp needs a couple more students enrolled by 3/31 to confirm.

Something for all dancers ages 3-7.  A great way to make dance friends and continue their skills over vacation with a bunch of fun activities! Camp culminates with a presentation - two guests per dancer are invited!

  • 9:30-10:30 am Ages 3-5   $50
    • Preschool, 2.8 by September 2023, Potty trained
  • 10:30am-1:30pm Ages 5-7   $125
    • Primary, 5 by September 2023
