It will act as a strong tool in a focused setting with specialized attention to Company level requirements. This program is only for dancers interested in Company,  who are serious about reaching their dancing goal.  It is not a guarantee the dancer will advance to Company.  We hope to help them get there!

Being a Company dancer:

  • Company dancers prioritize dance as their main activity. We encourage well rounded dancers, but the expectation is that dance comes first and is not missed for anything else (other than an educational or religious requirement).
  • Dependent on level, Company dancers study 5-10 hours per week, 2-3 days per week and classes are held at all three Studio locations
  • Company classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Contemporary
  • Additional recreational classes can be taken for additional tuition. Acro is suggested.
  • Company tuition includes all Company classes and rehearsals. Additional fees may come up throughout the year. With being a Company member, there is a financial responsibility families must take on. Accounts must be up to date and there are no discounts or financial assistance available for Company dancers. Email to inquire about costs.
    • Number of routines and performances vary. Additional routines may be added any time. Costume fees apply.
    • Older Companies may participate in Competitions and additional fees apply.
    • Older Company dancers may be invited to go en Pointe and additional classes and fees apply.
  • Extra choreography and rehearsal hours are announced as scheduled and often held on weekends.
  • Good attendance and dedication is imperative.
  • Company dancers must reaudition each summer by attending CDDS Summer Intensive (4th full week of July) and Summer Company Monday classes. This is mandatory to continue in Company the following season.
  • Upholding the integrity of CDDS inside and outside the Studio is expected. Company dancers are ambassador of CDDS.
  • Company families must fundraise for Dance for Art as there is much support given to Company dancers by DFA.
