Company Holiday Show Timeline
Saturday, December 13 & Sunday December 14 @ East Providence High School
December 13: Show 1 - 3:00pm
December 14: Show 2- 12:00pm, Show 3- 3:00pm

This weekend is what you’ve been working for! Dancers should be well-rested, hydrated and eating healthy. Do NOT have sleepovers the night before a show. Get a good night’s sleep in your own bed and give your best performance.

• Dancers must check in both days upon arrival and are not permitted to leave the building until dismissal after their last show of the day.
• Tech rehearsal is closed.

Arrival Details:
Closed Class, Preparatory and Pee Wee Company parents check-in dancer in front lobby, get “pickup bracelet” and leave. Parents do not go beyond lobby. Staff will take dancers.

• Parent with wristband pickup dancer after Show 1 & 3 in student commons.
• Closed Class & Pee Wee dancers will meet families in the lobby after Show 2 directed by staff. Must be back in dressing room by 2:25pm.
• Parents do not come backstage after Show 2.

Rhythmette, Junior and Senior Company dancers check-in themselves in front lobby. Parents do not need a bracelet and may not enter backstage/dressing rooms; dancers will meet you in the lobby after the show. Dancers may bring a pillow and blanket to rest between shows/rehearsal.

ALL Company

• Rhy/Jr/Sr Arrive stage ready in makeup (no lipstick), hair, tights, camisole, black long sleeve company leotard, black leggings, warmup jacket. 
• Pack all costumes, extra clean tights, shoes, makeup, hair supplies, first aid kit, etc.
• Pack a *nut free* healthy lunch, snacks and water. Do not eat in costume. Do not pack anything smelly or that could stain or is messy.
• Please apply deodorant before wearing DFA costumes. 
• Leave valuables at home.  CDDS/EP High School is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  
• Hair and makeup should be done at home
• Hair: Center part low bun, slicked with gel/hairspray. Except Closed Class wear a high bun on crown of head, slicked back. (Crown of head is one hand length back from hairline)
• Rhinestone earrings.
• Company Red Lipstick: MAC-Red/Russian Red, Sephora brand cream liquid lipstick-Always Red
• Foundation, blush, cheekbone highlight, brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, mascara, lip liner. 
• Rhy/Jr/Sr false eyelashes
• Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XX5ctq1NchU and do your best to follow it. Don't expect to perfect it on your first try. Practice :) See video description for suggested products.

Demonstrators wear CDDS warmup jacket, black leggings and ballet shoes when bringing students to dressing room.

DAY 1 Saturday, December 13, 2025:  Tech Rehearsal & Show 1 (See other side for what to arrive wearing/bring)
11:45am   Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Company Arrive Check-in, set up in dressing room
12:00-12:30pm   Warm Up on stage w/ Miss Jenna
12:30pm-2pm Rhy/Jr/Sr Tech Rehearsal Rag Doll, Silent Night, New York At Christmas, Let It Go, Carol of the Bells, Auld Lang Syne
1:45pm PeeWee & Hippity Hop Crew arrive stage ready in first costume.
2:00-2:30pm PeeWee & Hippity Hop Crew tech rehearsal on stage.
2:00-2:30pm Rhy/Jr/Sr Break for Lunch in dressing rooms. Do NOT eat in costume.
2:25-2:45pm Demonstrators (except Rag Doll) report to lobby escort dancers to Student Commons.
2:30pm  Non-demonstrators report to Dressing Room and get stage ready in first costume and re-warm up.
2:45pm  All dancers in Dressing Rooms. Demonstrators promptly put on first costume and final touches!
2:50pm All dancers lined up stage ready
3:00pm   *Show 1!* Approximate end 4:15pm
After Show 1, clean up and organize your dressing room area. Dancers may leave belongings overnight.

• Staff must approve dancer’s area is tidy before dismissal. 
• Pee Wee & Hippity Hop Crew parent with wristband pick up dancer in Student Commons. 
• Rhythmette, Junior, Senior meet parent in lobby. Captains/Reps remain until all are dismissed.

Everyone must be out of the building by 5pm. Rest up for a big day on Sunday!

DAY 2 Sunday, December 14, 2025: Show 2 & Show 3
10:15am   Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Arrive Do not enter building any earlier. Check-in, report to dressing room.
10:30-11:00am Rhythmette, Junior, Senior Warmup on stage w/ Miss Jenna
10:45am Closed Class & Preparatory arrive stage ready in first costume
11:00-11:30am   Closed Class, Preparatory tech rehearsal on stage
11:25-11:45am  Demonstrators (except Rag Doll) report to lobby escort dancers to Student Commons
11:45am All dancers in their Dressing Rooms. Put on first costume and final touches!
11:50am All dancers lined up stage ready
12:00pm   *Show 2!*  Approximate end 1:15pm
After Show 2, no Company parents backstage. Dancers are not permitted to leave the building.

• Closed Class & Preparatory change out of costume, when group is ready staff will escort to see family in lobby. 
• Closed & Pee Wee must be back in dressing room by 2pm.
• All other dancers remain in dressing rooms. Have a healthy snack, rest and be ready for the next show.

2:25-2:45pm Demonstrators (except Rag Doll) report to lobby escort dancers to Student Commons.
2:30pm PeeWee Company & Hippity Hop Crew Arrive stage ready in first costume
2:30pm  Non-demonstrators report to Dressing Room and get stage ready in first costume and re-warm up.
2:45pm  All dancers in Dressing Rooms. Demonstrators promptly put on first costume and final touches!
2:50pm All dancers lined up stage ready
3:00pm   *Show 3!* Approximate end 4:15pm
After Show 3: All dancers report to dressing room and clean up.Staff must approve dancer area is tidy before dismissal to see families.

• Closed Class, Preparatory, Pee Wee: return DFA costumes to staff as received (ie. garment bag, hanger, all  

       pieces) and thoroughly clean up dressing room. THEN dismissed to parent in Student Commons.

• Rhythmette, Junior, Senior: return Tuesday 12/16. If not returned by 12/16, a late costume return fee applies.
• Captains & Reps remain until all are dismissed.

Everyone must be out of the building by 5pm.

DFA Costume Care: It is important to treat DFA costumes with the utmost care.

• Apply deodorant before wearing.
• Air out after use
• Keep hanging in garment bag
• Apply sanitary liners as necessary.
• Damaged or lost items will incur a fee.

Camisole for Performances:

• Choose the color camisole that is closest to your skin tone.
• Approved camisoles:  
  • 6/7, 8/10, 12/14:  Capezio #3532C
  • XSA, SA, MA, XLA:  Eurotard # 44821  
• Have extra clear straps. Can be purchased separately and should be replaced if discolored/broken.
